How to delete the data Venuesmith holds about you and your venues, including the Instagram and Facebook data described in our privacy policy, and how to remove Venuesmith's access to your accounts. You can use any of the options below on its own.
You need to be a workspace owner or admin. Disconnect deletes the stored Instagram and Facebook Page access tokens for that location straight away. Venuesmith then stops publishing to the account and stops collecting post figures, account figures and posts that tag the account. Anything collected before then stays with the location until the workspace is deleted or you ask us to delete it.
On Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations, and remove Venuesmith. If Venuesmith is also listed under Apps and websites in your Instagram settings, remove it there as well.
This ends Venuesmith's access to your accounts on Meta's side. It does not delete the data Venuesmith already holds, so use one of the other options on this page for that.
The deletion is carried out 14 days after the request, and until then you can cancel it from the same section. After that, every location in the workspace is deleted along with everything attached to it, including drafts and scheduled posts, Instagram and Facebook access tokens, post and account figures, and posts that tag your accounts. This cannot be undone. Only a workspace owner can request it, so anyone else should ask an owner or email us.
Your sign-in account (your name and email address) is separate from the workspace and is not deleted with it. We also keep a record that the deletion was requested and carried out. Email us if you want your sign-in account deleted too.
Email hello@venuesmith.com and tell us what you want deleted: your sign-in account, one location's data or the whole workspace. Include the email address you sign in with and the name of the workspace or location. This also works if you can no longer sign in.
If you posted on Instagram and tagged a venue that uses Venuesmith, that venue's workspace may hold your username, the caption and links to the post. Email us a link to the post to ask for it to be deleted.
If you get emails from a venue through Venuesmith, the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of them stops all its emails straight away. To have your details deleted from the venue's list completely, ask the venue, or email us with your address and the venue's name.
Deleting data in Venuesmith does not remove posts it has already published. Delete those in Instagram or Facebook.
