Venuesmith vs Hootsuite
Hootsuite is a social media suite for marketing teams and agencies, priced per user from $99 a month, with AI tools for writing posts and approvals on its Advanced plan. Venuesmith is built for pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes and starts at $49 a month for a venue: it plans weeks of Instagram and Facebook posts from a sentence, makes each one in your brand and waits for your approval. For a venue without a marketing person, Venuesmith is simpler and cheaper. A group with a marketing team running lots of networks may well want Hootsuite.

When Hootsuite is the better choice
Hootsuite is built for someone whose job is social media. If your group has a marketing manager running several networks, X, TikTok or Bluesky included, and wants one place for the whole team, Hootsuite covers far more ground than Venuesmith. Its Standard plan includes AI post and image generation, and every plan includes an AI assistant it calls Wisdom.
When Venuesmith is the better choice
Most independent venues don't have that person. With Venuesmith, the landlord or manager describes the next few weeks in a sentence and gets a plan of finished posts back, captions written, photos and layouts chosen from their templates and the branding on, ready to approve.
It's priced by venue too. One location is $49 a month and Pro covers five locations and ten team members for $149, where Hootsuite's Standard plan is $99 for each user. Approval comes on every Venuesmith plan, and Hootsuite lists it on Advanced and Enterprise.
